Institutional biography
Dr. Will Charles earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Boston College. He held a Research Fellowship at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society (Berlin) and a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship at Boston College. He is currently Assistant Professor of Sociology at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio).
Research
His research sits at the intersection of economic sociology, organizational sociology, and the sociology of technology, with emphasis on work, platforms, organizational culture, and public sensemaking in crisis contexts.
